What is Civil Engineering?

Basically Civil Engineering is the Engineering of Civilisation.
It is a field related with Planning, Developing and Sustaining Civilisations.
It involves task from Drawing to Maintenance of Structures.
The basic elements of Civilisation  involves the need for energy sources, water supply, transportation and the basic necessity of a human that is Shelter. The buildings we see touching the sky are products of civil engineering.
Although it includes the Gaint Structures like Dams, Flyovers, Bridges, Railways, etc. Yet it is the Oldest field of Engineering

It involves different areas :
1) Structural Enginering
2) Irrigation Engineering
3) Geotechnical Engineering
4) Transportation Engineering
5) Foundation Engineering
And Many more which I shall include in my next Post.
